Gravitational lensing of core-collapse supernova gravitational wave signals

چکیده
We discuss the prospects of gravitational lensing waves (GWs) coming from core-collapse supernovae (CCSN). As CCSN GW signal can only be detected within our own Galaxy and local group by current upcoming ground-based detectors, we focus on microlensing. introduce a new technique based analysis power spectrum association peaks with amplification factor to identify lensed signals. validate method applying it CCSN-like mock signals point mass lens. find that unlensed differentiated using more than one sigma for lens masses M$_{\rm L} {>} 150{\rm M}_{\odot}$. also study correlation integral between spectra corresponding factor. This statistical approach is able differentiate lenses as small {\sim} 15{\rm Further, demonstrate this used estimate in case lensed. The general applied any broad band especially useful incoherent

Towards Gravitational Wave Signals from Realistic Core Collapse Supernova Models
We have computed the gravitational wave signal from supernova core collapse using the presently most realistic input physics available. We start from state-of-the-art progenitor models of rotating and non-rotating massive stars, and simulate the dynamics of their core collapse by integrating the equations of axisymmetric hydrodynamics together with the Boltzmann equation for the neutrino transp...

متن کاملProbing the Core-Collapse Supernova Mechanism with Gravitational Waves
The mechanism of core-collapse supernova explosions must draw on the energy provided by gravitational collapse and transfer the necessary fraction to the kinetic and internal energy of the ejecta. Despite many decades of concerted theoretical effort, the detailed mechanism of core-collapse supernova explosions is still unknown, but indications are strong that multi-D processes lie at its heart....
متن کاملGravitational Wave Signals from the Collapse of the First Stars
We study the gravitational wave emission from the first stars which are assumed to be Very Massive Objects (VMOs). We take into account various feedback (both radiative and stellar) effects regulating the collapse of objects in the early universe and thus derive the VMO initial mass function and formation rate. If the final fate of VMOs is to collapse, leaving very massive black hole remnants, ...
متن کاملThe Gravitational Wave Signature of Core-Collapse Supernovae
We review the ensemble of anticipated gravitational-wave (GW) emission processes in stellar core collapse and postbounce core-collapse supernova evolution. We discuss recent progress in the modeling of these processes and summarize most recent GW signal estimates. In addition, we present new results on the GW emission from postbounce convective overturn and protoneutron star g-mode pulsations b...
